Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to https://studyguide.jamk.fi. The website is run by JAMK University of Applied Sciences. The accessibility statement was updated on 21 September, 2020.

The evaluation of studyguide.jamk.fi was carried out by JAMK. The website was published in 2013. It should be compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard by 23 September, 2020.

Perceivable: Link identified by colour only

• Inaccessible content and deficiencies: A link does not stand out except by colour, e.g. underline is missing. The service mainly has these kinds of links in breadcrumb trails and page footers.

Perceivable: No local link target

• Inaccessible content and deficiencies: An anchor link created for a page leads nowhere, meaning that the link target no longer exists.

Perceivable: Adjacent links used for a single target

Robust: No label for selection box

• Inaccessible content and deficiencies: A dropdown menu has no label to inform the user of the purpose of the menu.

Robust: Description (selection box, embedded videos)

• Inaccessible content and deficiencies: There are some pages where iFrame has been used to embed videos or other content but iFrame is missing a title.

• Inaccessible content and deficiencies: A search field where you can enter text does not have a descriptive label.

PDF files

In addition to the issues listed above, there are some PDF files on studyguide.jamk.fi which do not comply with the accessibility standard. We will do our best to fix the issues with PDF files as soon as possible.

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they are not essential to providing our services.

Videos

There are some videos on studyguide.jamk.fi that have been published without captions or audio description before September 23, 2020. Our aim is to make sure that videos published after the transition period comply with the accessibility standard.

Video and audio content published on our website need to comply with the accessibility standard as of September 23, 2020. Old videos that are not accessible do not need to be removed from the website after the transition period and it is not required to make them accessible retroactively.
